godchild The Omen is a spoken wordsmith from Norfolk, Virginia and co-host of the states largest spoken word venue, Urban S.A.F.A.R.I. This writer and recording artist has performed at underground spots since 1996.

He has travelled the East Coast in search of crowds, inspiration and new places to share his body of work. Accompanied only by a bag (containing notebooks, CD's and books) he brings his determination to give all he has to every onlooker in the crowd.

Having performed from Connecticut to Florida, godchild has opened the minds and souls of countless listeners. He has done everything from: open mic features, radio interviews, fashion/hair shows and anywhere else there is a microphone. His primary motivation is the thought that "there is always more to do."

His first book, "The Child Had To Die For The Man To Be Alive" is a small collection of greater things to come. His debut CD, "Complex Simplicity" is a duet project with renown poet/emcee, 13 of Nazareth. That project was released under the direction of Oya Xclusive, Virginia's first spoken word label. godchild is currently working on his next book "The Healing" and his solo CD "Rector scale Rhetoric". He also continues to travel with the Oya X collective.
