Saturday, February 3, 8 p.m. EST

Year: 1977
Length: 166 minutes

Pinned up against the backdrop of looming war in the 1930s, rising playwright Lillian Hellman (Jane Fonda) and her childhood friend Julia (Vanessa Redgrave) reunite after many years. Julia, who came from a wealthy background, abandons her upbringing in pursuit of her ideals and fights to oppose the Nazi regime. When Lillian visits Julia in Germany, she discovers the toll Julia's idealism has taken on her. To better aid the anti-Nazi efforts from within, Lillian is asked to smuggle a large sum of money from Paris to Germany by Julia's friend Johann (Maximilian Schell). A tale of two friends with tension at every turn, WHRO's Cinema 15 presents Julia this Saturday at 8 p.m.
